Write Space is the online home of Chorley & District Writers’ Circle.
A warm welcome to everyone visiting these pages.
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 27 November at the usual venue – the upstairs board room at:
St Mary’s Parish Centre and Social Club, West St, off Devonshire Road, Chorley, PR7 2SR 7.30-9.30pm.
This will be our last meeting of the year and we will have a mince pies and a relaxed, Christmassy feel.
We’ll be discussing how Write Now, our publishing event to be held on Saturday November 17 at St Mary’s in Chorley went. (Have a look across at the relevant page for more info and how to buy tickets for this public event – popular every year! Book fair too – writers welcome to come and sell their books!)
At our November meeting, we’ll also be reading the winning entries of our Natural Justice short story competition. Winners will be announced at Write Now and the shortlist is over on the ‘Our Competitions’ page now.
Membership of the Circle costs £25 per annum. Guests and visitors are always welcome to come along and just pay £5 per meeting. A higher rate may apply when we have guest speakers. Subscribed members benefit from cheaper overall membership, our monthly newsletter, the chance to showcase their work to the Circle and on this website, a free entry to our competition, and free entry to our November event Write Now (when they volunteer to help out!)
We welcome and support all writers, of all kinds, aptitudes and ambitions. The hobby scribbler or the published novelist: we provide a home for you.
We meet on the last Tuesday of every month (except December) in the upstairs board room at St Mary’s Parish Centre and Social Club, West St, Chorley. 7.30 – 9.30 pm. Interested in learning more? Simply come along.
